New Closure Timings for Dubai's Floating Bridge on Deira Creek

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced new closure timings for the Floating Bridge on Dubai's Deira Creek. Starting from Saturday, January 15th, the bridge will be closed on weekends from 10 pm to 6 am. These revised timings are in line with the UAE's recent change in the weekend holiday.

When the bridge is operational, a 10-minute operation is performed every night to raise the bridge at 10 pm, allowing marine traffic to pass through. During this brief closure, vehicles are advised to use alternative routes, such as Al Maktoum Bridge or Business Bay Bridge.

The Floating Bridge plays a vital role in connecting Deira to Bur Dubai, providing a convenient crossing for both residents and tourists. The new closure timings have been implemented to accommodate the increased traffic flow during the weekend holiday and ensure the smooth movement of vessels along Deira Creek.
